K10's Best Part Of Me

Last week K10 chose their favourite body part to write about and give reasons why using the word because. They also had to think of effective adjectives to describe their body part and try and use a simile too. The children loved having their photos taken of their body part. Here are a few examples of their writing....

The best part of me is my feet. I like running and playing football because I am fast. I can travel on a plane to go on holidays. I can walk and stand up on my two feet. I like swimming with them too. They are my feet, not yours. They are the best part of me. By Camille

My favourite body part is my tongue because if I did not have my tongue I could not spit at my big sister when she is being naughty. If I did not have my tongue I could not lick scrumptious divine lollipops. My tongue is like bumpy chewing gum when I poke out my tongue. I can roll my tongue and make it into a long tunnel. Everyday I am trying to do more tricks with my tongue. Thumbs up tongue! By Olive

My favourite part of me is my brain. I like my brain because it helps me learn in maths. I like maths because my brain tells me my subtraction answers. My brain tells me what shot to play in cricket. My brain tells me everything I need to know. Without my brain I would not be able to walk or talk to my friends. Brain you are an important part of me. By Zeb

The best part of me is my legs because they are strong and fast. You could also not run if you didn't have legs. Legs are important because they carry me around. I like to eat vegetables because they make you run faster. You would have to use your arms and hands to move around from place to place if you didn't have legs. My legs are strong and good for playing rugby when I am passing and tackling with the ball. My legs are as quick as a spotty cheetah in the wild. Thumbs up legs!

My brown, bright eyes have long eye lashes. My mum thinks there very pretty, but I think they stop my eyes from getting really gritty. My eyes are great at spotting little details that makes me good at art. My eyes help do my writing and reading that makes me very smart. My eyes are on my face above my long, pointy nose. My beautiful eyes show me where to go in a race. I like my eyes just the way they are. By Maisey

I love my ears. If I didn't have my ears I would not be able to hear anything and I would be deaf. I'd have to learn sign language to communicate with others and that would be awesome because I could learn another language. I love my ears and they are spectacular and they are my ears. I love to listen to music and dance to the rhythm of the music too. When I am older I will be able to wear earrings as well. They are definitely the best part of me! By Marley

My hair is the best part of me because it is brown and silky and the knots in my hair all go away when I brush my hair. My hair is soft and shiny gold. They are two matching colours. I like my hair because I can wipe my tears away when I cry. My hair can be useful for a paint brush because without your hair you would not be able to brush your hair. My hair is beautiful so I want to grow it longer. My hair is the best part of me because it never gives up on me! By Monika

The best part of me is my legs. They help me run, jump and play soccer. They help me walk and swim too. When I swim I use the tip of my feet to cut through the water. They help stand still when I am fielding in cricket. My legs are as fast as a cheetah. I love my legs. By Jack
