Congratulations Maisey and Naya for being first place in the Te Reo Maori category at the DigiAwards this year. It is certainly well deserved and you have worked incredibly hard on your submission throughout the year.

K10's Park Detectives Trip To The Botanic Garden

Image
A huge thank you to all the parents who came along and helped out on the school trip to the Botanic Gardens in week 4 Thursday. We would not be able to attend these trips without your continued support. Also, thank you to the parents for taking photos during our outing and for Zeb's mum for creating an iMovie of all the snapshots of our trip. It is very much appreciate!

Book character day in Kererū 9    Wow! I was so impressed with the book character costumes in Kererū 9. Here are some photos so you can check them out! The whole class  Our Kererū 9 finalists - Ethan Prangnell (it's a bit hard to recognise you under that costume Ethan!) and Isabel Brott. All our other amazing costumes!

K10 All Dressed Up In Character For Book Character Day

Wow, I was so impressed when all the children entered our space on Friday morning all dressed up in character for Book Character Day and they had also remembered their book too. Families had certainly gone to a lot of trouble making and organising costumes so that their child had a special day at school. Congratulations to Gracie and Sammie who were our home base finalists. Sammie then went to win the overall costume for middle school and received a couple of books to read at home.

Kereru 10 At Christchurch School Of Gymnastics

Kererū 8 at the School of Gymnastics!

Wow!  What an amazing first session we had yesterday at the Christchurch School of Gymnastics!  The children tumbled, leaped, climbed, flipped and moved for the whole hour and a half and we were all very tired by the time we got back to school.  It was wonderful to be out on a trip after a year that hasn't allowed us to venture too far from school!  We are all looking forward to our second visit next Tuesday.
